Settling In
At Little Elms, we understand the importance of ensuring a smooth and comfortable transition for both you and your child as they embark on their nursery journey.
What does the settling in process consist of?
Before your child starts their regular nursery sessions, they will have the opportunity to attend free settling in sessions. During these sessions parents and their children spend time in the nursery; you can ask any questions you may have and talk to our team about routines, your child’s likes and dislikes and anything else that comes to mind. But most of all, its an opportunity for you and your little one to get to know us!
How long does it take to settle a child?
Every child is different. We recommend a minimum of 3 sessions. These sessions typically last between 1 to 2 hours each, allowing your child to gradually acclimate to the new environment. To accommodate the diverse needs of our families, we provide settling in sessions throughout the day, including morning and afternoon options.
Why are these sessions important?
Our aim is to create a safe and secure space for your child, where they can build trust and familiarity with our caring staff and nurturing surroundings. We believe that these settling in sessions play a crucial role in establishing a positive and happy nursery experience for your little one.
